The Challenge
Techistuff covers software and technology across eight core categories, with platform profiles, pricing guidance, comparisons, alternatives and practical articles. A useful platform profile needs much more than a product description: pricing, plan limits, supported access, integrations, capabilities, limitations and the official evidence behind those claims all have to stay organized.
Producing that research manually for every platform would make consistency the bottleneck. Fully automatic writing would create the opposite problem: scale without a reliable evidence trail. The system therefore had to automate the repetitive work while keeping the research process anchored to official sources and a defined editorial structure.
What We Built
We built a custom WordPress Platform content model with structured fields for the information each profile needs. A control sheet feeds the automation with the platform and category context, then Make coordinates research, AI extraction and content generation before the record is sent to WordPress through a custom upsert process.
The research stage is intentionally constrained around official product, pricing and documentation sources. The generated data is returned in a strict structure so pricing, access, integrations, strengths, limitations, sidebar data and SEO fields land in the correct WordPress fields instead of being buried inside one block of text.
A QA gate runs before the image step so weak records do not spend additional processing cost. Once a profile passes, the workflow can create its featured media, update the platform record and return the final permalink. Existing records are updated through the same logic, which keeps the system usable as pricing and product details change.
A separate editorial workflow supports the research layer with pricing guides, comparisons, alternatives, how-to articles and other intent-specific content. Those articles are connected back to relevant platform pages through controlled internal linking, allowing the publication to build topic depth without inventing URLs or mixing commercial and informational intent on one page.
Automation Without Losing the Research Standard
The goal was not to publish the largest possible number of AI articles. The system was built so structured research can be produced repeatedly, checked, updated and connected to the rest of the site with far less manual administration.
That gives Techistuff a scalable operating model: add a platform to the research queue, let the workflow handle the repetitive processing and publishing work, and keep human attention focused on source quality, editorial decisions and the parts that actually require judgment.
